Hypnosis

Hypnosis can be used to address a wide range of concerns and conditions. Relaxation, visualization and suggestions help create new and useful programs to help you achieve your goals.  Hypnosis can help you address, and perhaps even eliminate negative, maladaptive and outdated programs that are holding you back from your true potential.

Stress and anxiety: Stressful situations trigger our automatic, subconscious response. Sometimes those responses are maladaptive and even harmful to our well-being. For example, if stress causes you to binge on junk food, smoke more cigarettes, use recreational drugs or simply neglect your own needs, these are certainly maladaptive responses driven by the subconscious mind. Anxiety is often rooted in low self-confidence, guilt, self-doubt, insecurity and uncertainty in ourselves. You were not born with these subconscious programs — you learned them sometime ago. Hypnosis can give you the opportunity release and let go of these burdensome programs and recondition yourself with more positive and useful programs — allowing you to respond to life in a more positive and productive way!

HypnoBirthing

Have a calm, relaxed and gentle birth!

HypnoBirthing is a complete childbirth education and preparation class where you will confidently learn how to do what your body is perfectly designed to do — birth your baby.

For a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy the safest birth is a birth with no interventions.

Fertility

EeVon Ling offers a comprehensive and unique mind-body approach to enhancing your fertility, whether you want to optimize your chances of having your baby naturally or you want to maximize your chances of success using medical assistance such as IVF or IUI.

Nutrition: Evidence-based nutritional approaches in the form of diet and supplementation as well as traditional approaches from chinese dietary therapy can improve the health of the reproductive organs and to improve overall energy and well-being.

Acupuncture and cupping: Acupuncture has a long traditional history of being effective in treating fertility and reproductive conditions. More recent research supports the use of acupuncture to improve the success rate of IVF. Cupping as a traditional bodywork therapy can promote relaxation and help improve overall blood flow.

Herbal medicine: Western herbal medicine has a long tradition in treating reproductive problems that is now being recognized in scientific studies.

Hypnotherapy: Preliminary studies have shown great potential for hypnosis in improving IVF success.  Dealing with fertility issues can be a very stressful time. Hypnotherapy can be very useful in balancing the mind and addressing any emotional blocks, negative thoughts or other limiting beliefs that just might be perpetuating the fertility issues.

Doula Services

A doula (also referred to as a labour attendant or labour coach) is considered the person who provides continuous physical and emotional support and assistance to a woman before, during and after childbirth. Having a different role than a midwife, OBGYN or RN, the doula provides important care from a non-medical aspect.  A doula also helps the birthing partner and/or family by providing information, physical assistance, and emotional support. Having this continuous support during labour and birth is associated with improved maternal and fetal health and a variety of other benefits.

While the goal of an OBGYN or midwife is a safe childbirth, the goal of a doula is to ensure the mother feels safe, comfortable, confident, informed and supported before, during, and after the birth of her baby. Doulas cannot make or voice decisions for the birthing couple nor can they intervene the actions of the attending midwife, RN, obstetrician or other medically licensed professional active during labour and birth, but they can help the birthing couple ensure that they are active participants within their healthcare team every step along the way.

A mother who feels safe, comfortable, confident, informed and supported is able to relax and allow the natural process of labour and birth to happen in a healthy normal way.

Many studies have shown significant benefits of having a doula present during labour and birth:

Benefits to mother

  • Shorter labours
  • Lower rates of intervention use during labour and birth
  • Lower rates of epidural use
  • Lower C-section birth rate
  • Higher levels of reported satisfaction

Benefits to baby:

  • Lower rates of fetal distress
  • Lower rates of low APGAR score at 5 minutes after birth
  • Higher rate of breastfeeding initiation
  • Lower admittance rates into the NICU
